B i o g r a p h y

The soothing sounds of the harp are brought to you by the artistry of harpist Brian Stevenson.  He has performed as soloist, orchestral harpist, chamber musician and with vocal ensembles.  

Mr. Stevenson received his Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance from Shepherd University, and Masters from Gettysburg Seminary.  He taught and served as lecturer at Shepherd.  Brian is a multi-instrumentalist playing all the woodwinds, harp, guitar, mandolin, banjo, irish flutes, piano and organ.

He has served as harpist for the NIH Philharmonia, the University of Mary Washington Orchestra, and the Manassas Symphony.  He has performed throughout the Metro-Washington D.C. USA area including The Library of Congress, Mount Vernon, and has been seen on T.V. for tea at the Mayflower to name a few. 

Mr. Stevenson is also certified through the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital as a harp therapy practitioner, playing at the bedside for hospice patients, in the hospital setting, in the home and also for funerals.

Brian resides near Washington D.C. where he is continuing his work as harpist, teacher, and luthier.
